Piura: They promote the construction of the new Public Defender's Office

Representatives of the Provincial Municipality of They held an important working group with the Ministry of Justice, with the objective of coordinating technical aspects related to the architectural plan and the beginning of the construction of the new Public Defense infrastructure in the city.

During the meeting, a group of councilors highlighted the urgency of moving forward with the project, pointing out that the land where the new headquarters will be built was donated by the municipality in 2018 and its extension expires in April 2026.

They also recalled that this space will be used to provide free legal assistance and advice to people in vulnerable situations, so its execution is of high social interest.

Likewise, other municipal authorities participated, who presented the technical guidelines and documentation required to accelerate the process, reaffirming the commune’s willingness to continue providing support in the necessary procedures.
