The Plenary Session of Congress approved in a second vote the opinion that declares of national interest and public necessity the transfer in use of five hectares of the El Porvenir farm, located in the district of El Tambo, Huancayo, for the expansion of the educational infrastructure of the National University of Central Peru (UNCP).

The legislative initiative, Bill No. 9142, was presented by Waldemar Cerrón, who proposes that said land, currently owned by Essalud, be used for the construction of other pavilions and their professional schools, with a transfer period of 100 years.
According to the legislator, the proposal responds to the supposed sustained growth in demand for careers within the UNCP.
