The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, Diosdado Cabello, announced the creation of the “integral-based Bolivarian committees.” He explained that it is a new organizational structure that seeks to strengthen the political, ideological and defense work of the revolution in each street.
He emphasized that these committees have to serve “to confront any situation of threats against our country and above all to guarantee the peace, sovereignty and independence of the homeland.”
He added that the street leaders will be replaced by collective addresses, made up of at least nine militants chosen by the residents.
During a PSUV press conference this Thursday, November 6, Cabello said that the popular assemblies to elect the members of these committees will be held on the weekends of November 8 and 9 and 15 and 16 in all communities in the country.

According to the Minister of the Interior, Justice and Peace, the Bolivarian committees are the ones that will allow us to move from popular consultations “to the comprehensive defense of the nation. “Whoever wants to understand should understand, I tell it to those who want to sell this country,” he said.
Diosdado Cabello indicated that the assemblies for this selection process must be held with the participation of residents and party members “without the intervention of mayors, governors or external leaders.” However, he explained that there will be a person in charge for each state to supervise these meetings and personally transfer the results of these votes to Caracas: “There are no intermediaries, each person in charge must bring the minutes directly to me,” he specified and clarified that this measure seeks to protect the identity of the elected activists.
On the other hand, Diosdado Cabello announced the reorganization of the PSUV structure and said that from now on it will have seven secretariats: ideological formation, propaganda and communication control, organization, security and comprehensive defense, communes and social movements, popular organization and production; and international affairs.
He also explained that this restructuring is carried out under the guidance of Nicolás Maduro.
