Puebla, Puebla. The Puebla entity will receive new investments before the end of 2025, so in this month of November the announcements will be made, especially for the Development Pole in the municipality of San José Chiapa, where the Audi automotive plant is located.
In this sense, the Secretary of Economic Development and Labor (Sedetra), Víctor Gabriel Chedraui commented that they are evaluating the catalog of possible companies that will reach the Development Pole called Capital of Technology and Sustainability.
Contrary to what the Business Coordinating Council (CCE) said regarding that there would be no more investments in the rest of this year, the head of Sedetra explained that a decision of this type is not easy or quick for companies, because they must evaluate different factors to carry out a project.
However, he highlighted that Puebla is attractive for manufacturing companies in the textile, automotive, and food sectors and in recent years for renewable energy generators.
Regarding the Puebla Economic Development Pole, there are investment commitments for 2.1 billion pesos, as announced in September by Víctor Gabriel Chedraui.
Investments in Development Pole and industrial zones
Under this context, he himself reiterated that it will be this month that Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier will be making the investment announcements, since they are about to close the talks with the companies, some for the Development Pole and others for the industrial zones of Puebla.
Due to the above, he pointed out, there is a guarantee that Puebla will close with investment announcements in the final stretch of 2025 and that next year they will materialize with operations of some.
“Puebla has broad competitive advantages in strategic location, road and rail connectivity, qualified labor and the potential for technological innovation,” he highlighted.
He added that, to accelerate Puebla’s economic growth, tax incentives will be essential to attract new companies.
He explained that the state government is aimed at designing a plan that guarantees that businessmen make a decision and see the importance of establishing themselves in Puebla due to the advantages they have in terms of logistics as it is a transit point from the south to the center of the country and vice versa.
He indicated that at Sedetra they follow up on each investment project, some short and others medium term.
