The Venezuelan delegation attending Belém, in Brazil, is headed by Foreign Minister Yván Gil
The Chancellor of the Republic, Yván Gil, reported on Venezuela’s participation in the 30th United Nations (UN) Climate Conference, which is taking place in Brazil.
“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela participates in the 30th United Nations Climate Conference, which takes place from November 6 to 21 in Belém, Brazil,” Gil wrote on his Telegram channel.
“During this meeting, urgent actions will be discussed to confront climate change, problems that disproportionately affect countries in the Global South,” Gil recalled.
Gil explained that Venezuela will show attendees all the progress it has made in caring for Mother Earth and thus counteract climate change.
«Venezuela will present its advances in reforestation along with innovations for the sustainable management of watersheds. In addition, it will highlight its efforts in the preservation of biodiversity, especially in the Amazon Basin, and the development of regulations on the climate crisis and territorial planning, reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development,” the post concludes.
