The Venezuela-Guatemala Parliamentary Friendship Group was installed in the Federal Legislative Palace, where deputy José Cabellos Reinales reiterated that its members, as ambassadors of peace, have the mission of promoting dialogue, as well as strengthening legislative activity between both nations.
«Today the possibility opens up for two brother peoples to meet. “Venezuela is here to help a brother people of Central America,” said the parliamentarian from the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda room.
Celac-EU Summit
Cabello Reinales pointed out that now more than ever Latin America and the Caribbean must remain united. “Not only at a work table, but in the consolidation of common objectives that aim at the development and well-being of their people,” a statement he gave in reference to the upcoming IV Summit of the Latin American and Caribbean Community with the European Union, CELAC-EU 2025, whose pro tempore presidency will be assumed by Colombia.
For his part, deputy Numa Jaramillo confirmed that peace is and will be the commitment of the opposition faction within Parliament. At the same time, he explained that the group will work at those meeting points with the Guatemalan nation, with the objective of presenting to the CELAC-EU a united Latin American people who, as brother countries, work together for peace.
The representative of the Vice Ministry for Latin America, Irene Rondón Graterol, celebrated the installation of this parliamentary group because it demonstrates not only strict compliance with the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, but also the will to strengthen relations with all the peoples of Central America, reports information from the AN.
