Military personnel confronted members of the El Pelón criminal group, two of whom were killed.
According to reports collected, the procedure was carried out by officials of the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) in Colinas de Churuguara, Federación municipality, Falcón state.
One of those killed is known by the nickname El Cochino, while the other is identified as Brihan Navas Lovera (El Pipo), accused of extortion and hitmen. The subjects possessed two firearms: a Smith Wessom 0.30mm caliber rifle and a Smith Wesson 38mm revolver.
The firearms were seized, as well as two bulletproof vests, 10 5.56×45 mm caliber cartridges and an Ahowin MD motorcycle, the report says.
