Upon learning of the situation, the victim’s mother moved to the Falcón Police headquarters (Polifalcón) to file a complaint against Páez, who was apprehended on February 17, 2023 in the Guamacho Abajo sector, in the vicinity of the Morón-Coro national highway.
The crimes. At the trial, the 10th Falcón Prosecutor’s Office ratified the accusation against Páez for the commission of the crime of a sexual act with a particularly vulnerable victim to the detriment of a 7-year-old girl.
Once the prosecutor’s office had collected the evidence relating to the case, the Single Trial Court on Violence Against Women in that jurisdiction handed down the aforementioned sentence and ordered Páez’s confinement at the Polifalcón headquarters in that federal entity.
