SANTO DOMINGO.- The commission in charge of working on the Protocol for Presidential Aspirants of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) I continue this Tuesday with the scheduled meetings with the leaders of the organization, who have declared their intention to become candidates for the presidential candidacy for the political organization.
At mid-morning they reported a meeting with former senator Francisco Domínguez Brito, with whom they had an exchange of impressions about the aspects to be considered in the protocol being prepared for the election.
Domínguez Brito has made public statements motivating the need for a protocol that outlines the rules to organize a transparent and participatory internal process.
They spoke with the former Minister of Labor and Environment, Johnny Pujols, general secretary, and the members of the Political Committee, Andrés Navarro, Rubén Bichara and Margarita Pimentel, who are part of the commission responsible for preparing the protocol for the election.
Prior to Domínguez Brito, the commissioners met with Abel Martínez, past Presidential candidate, and Charles Mariotti, former secretary general.
Also on this occasion, the general secretary of the PLD, Johnny Pujols, assuming the spokesperson for the team, reported that there was an exchange of ideas about the institutional strengthening of the PLD, the need to preserve internal cohesion and to project to Dominican society the image of a party that organizes, self-regulates and acts with democratic maturity and ethical sense.
As the meetings are scheduled, the official channels of the PLD will inform about these meetings and their results.
