The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv), Diosdado Cabello, assured during his speech at the extraordinary plenary session of the Fifth Congress of the Psuv and Fourth of the Jpsuvthat the attacks against Venezuela are not going to stop, since they have been going on for 26 continuous years, but that Venezuelans must be prepared for any scenario that arises.
He said that when it comes to defending the Homeland “anything goes” and questioned whether there are those who hesitate.
«Anything goes and it is not being an idiot (…) that is a fundamental point of how we go through this transition, this preparation from an unarmed struggle to an armed struggle. It is not an empty concept, there has to be a lot of conviction, dedication and detachment,” he warned.
Cabello also questioned those who have been active in the ranks of the party motivated by interest and not by conviction. “Almost certainly, when we have to face an enemy with weapons, these people will not appear anywhere,” he asserted.
Instead, he praised those who have always been present in the different situations that have arisen.
“Those who are there every day, who are not looking for positions, who are detached, those I am sure will go out to defend the Homeland,” he assured, while affirming that the leaders have a historical responsibility and that is why they must set an example.
He affirmed that the country must continue to advance, even if an attack were to occur and that this has been the instruction of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
He maintained that the internal enemy is discredited and divided, due to the great ambition for power. The opposite has happened with the Psuv, which he considers has become a rock.
He stressed that the mobilization of the party cannot be only for events, since there are two modalities: “moving openly or stealthily.”
However, the leader considers the red awning that “nothing much is going to happen here” but the obligation is to prepare “for whatever.”
«President Nicolás Maduro has spoken very clearly to these people, he has told them the truth, he has put them in a situation, because those people believe that with 2 bombs everything in this country ends, it is not like that, whoever believes from the outside that this will end quickly, we are giving almost privileged information; “They are wrong, it is not like that and it has never been like that,” he warned.
Cabello said that the structure of the party allows us to see a revolutionary, popular horizon, where right-wing factors will no longer govern in Venezuela.
He said that every day we must be more radical in defense of the Homeland and the Revolution, taking into account that there is a media and psychological war. “This psychological war should not paralyze a revolutionary cadre; let us be more active and radical every day in defense of the Homeland and the Revolution.”
