According to witnesses, the victims – a Venezuelan saleswoman identified as Glorimar Nieves (35), the young mother Deyanira García (21) and her three-year-old son – were on the road when they were hit by the vehicle. Peacekeepers and police officers helped the injured, transferring the two women to a local clinic with a diagnosis of multiple trauma.

The minor was evacuated by relatives to a nearby hospital, his condition unknown at this time. The driver was arrested and placed at the disposal of the National Police of Peru for the corresponding investigations.
