In accordance with the agreements signed between students and authorities of the College of Sciences and Humanities (CCH) South to reinforce security on campus, after the murder of Jesús Israel, from November 5 until the 12th of the same month, students’ photographs will be taken for the preparation of digital credentials.
The more than 11,300 young people enrolled in this CCH must have their identification, which will certify that the student belongs to the campus and will allow them to enter the facilities after recognition with an optical reader.
The CCH Sur reported that this digital credential “will be essential to access the campus when we return to in-person activities,” so all students must schedule their appointment to have their photograph taken and have this identification.
For students who entered in 2023, the dates for taking photographs are November 5 and 6 in two shifts; Students of the generation of 2024 must attend on the 7th and 10th of the same month and for new entrants (generation 2025) the photo taking will be on the 11th and 12th of this month.
According to estimates from the authorities of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), the return to in-person activities could be on November 18, since three weeks ago work began on placing turnstiles with biometric readers and metal detectors.
The CCH Sur management reiterated that it is very important that students have this credential, since it will be the only way they will be able to enter the campus.
