The Financier of Studies and Projects (Finep) informed that, since last Monday (3), companies from any location in the country can submit proposals for innovation projects to obtain resources from the new decentralized credit cycle: Inovacred.
In total, R$1 billion in resources will be made available from the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development (FNDCT) to encourage innovation and increase national competitiveness.
At least R$300 million will be allocated to the North, Northeast and Central-West regions. All projects submitted must be contracted by December 31st of this year.
Finep’s reimbursable financing program, Inovacred uses resources from the FNDCT, being operated by around 30 financial agents in the country, who will be in charge of evaluating, approving and monitoring contracted projects, financing items such as equipment, softwareinfrastructure, labor and specialized services to promote innovation in products, processes or services throughout the national territory.

“The release of these resources throughout Brazil is the materialization of the commitment made by Finep and the federal government to provide robustness and regularity in investments in science, technology and innovation in the country, with opportunities both in the locations that concentrate more projects and for regional development”, assures the president of Finep, Luiz Antonio Elias.
Inovacred remains attractive with conditions starting at TR+6.068% pa and up to 96 months of total term, with a 24-month grace period and up to 100% of Finep’s participation.
