The state-owned Yacimiento Petroliferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB) will internationalize its services with the installation of domestic gas in Peru, according to the manager of Gas Networks and Pipelines of the oil company, Roberto Aldayuz.

The installation of the gas network in the neighboring country is done within the framework of the agreements signed after the arrival of Peruvian President Pedro Castillo last Saturday.

Aldayuz said that, initially, gas networks will be installed in the town of Zepita, 12 kilometers from the city of Desaguadero, “where we have a satellite regasification station, from which we will have distribution lines to massify the use of natural gas in neighboring towns of the sister Republic of Peru ”.

He also indicated that YPFB has the experience to face this and other challenges, since in Bolivia the home gas installation was carried out successfully.

In the same way, the person in charge of Gas Networks and Pipelines expressed that this experience will benefit the country, stopping the smuggling of Liquefied Petroleum Gas to Peru.
