Hair on Trinidad actions: Venezuela reserves the corresponding actions

Cabello: It is good that Lula worries and raises his voice to defend our America

Minister Diosdado Cabello denounced military exercises and the alleged creation of a “false positive” by CIA agents to simulate a Venezuelan attack and generate a conflict. “It will not be the president of Trinidad and Tobago with her provocations that is going to derail us from the peace train”

The vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, referred to the recent decision of the Government of Trinidad and Tobago to deport Venezuelans and suspend work permits, which he described as a “new attack” and an “aggression against Venezuela.”

Hair held in a news conference that the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago has taken a position “against our country” and has allowed herself to be “blackmailed” for having a “straw tail.”

In that sense, he assured that this aggression “will be reversed” and that Venezuela has ordered the “immediate review of all gas agreements.”

He also denounced military exercises and the alleged creation of a “false positive” by CIA agents to simulate a Venezuelan attack and generate a conflict. “It will not be the president of Trinidad and Tobago with her provocations that will derail us from the peace train (…) Venezuela reserves the actions it deems appropriate, they will see what they do with the Venezuelans there.”

On the other hand, the minister reiterated the request to revoke the nationality of opponents like Yon Goicoechea for his support of US military actions.

He highlighted that the administration of Nicolás Maduro “has made some decisions”, such as eliminating the documents in the Saime, and hopes that the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) will clarify the scope of the Constitution in relation to nationality.

The minister argued that when someone “invokes and enlists a foreign army to attack his own country,” he is automatically giving up the interests and values of the nation, citing article 130 of the Constitution.

“Whoever violates that article by invoking invasion, invoking bombings, invoking foreign forces that come to enter our territory, the Venezuelan State assumes the stewardship of the application of the Constitution and the laws (…) Everyone assumes their responsibility, we assume ours,” Cabello said.

Regarding the popular assemblies that took place over the weekend, Cabello said that the PSUV will accompany the debate to “build a new electoral system.”

«Where is that system going to come from? From what the people say… The next elections are in four years, we have enough time. We will learn from communal consultations and popular power, from there whatever needs to come will come out.
