The United Socialist Party of Venezuela (Psuv) supports the measure adopted by the Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Immigration (Saime) to withdraw the documentation of the opponent Yon Goicochea, after requesting foreign military intervention against the country, reported the general secretary of the political organization, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.
During the usual weekly press conference, Cabello indicated that “the Saime is acting according to the requests made by the National Government,” while affirming that any Venezuelan who promotes warlike actions against the nation will have to face the legal consequences of the case.
“Whoever invokes bombings or foreign forces to attack Venezuela will receive the full weight of the law. When someone invokes and enlists in a foreign army to attack their own country, they are automatically giving up the interests and values of that country to enroll in a foreign force and those principles and values begin with nationality,” he said.
In this sense, he made reference to article 130 of the Constitution, which establishes the duty to honor and defend the homeland, its symbols, cultural values, sovereignty, nationality, territorial integrity, self-determination and national interests.
The revolutionary leader emphasized that the Venezuelan State, in the exercise of its constitutional powers, has made concrete decisions and that any citizen who does not agree can resort to the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ).
“The National Government has asked the TSJ to clarify what is established in the Magna Carta, because some try to ignore it,” he pointed out.
