The Brazilians, both 18 years old, won silver in the mixed team recurve bow event after being beaten in the decision, by a score of 6 to 2, by the Colombian team formed by Maira Alejandra Rocha and Juan Felipe Osorio.

Also this Monday, Filipe Aguiar took silver in the men’s open recurve event after being beaten 6-0 by Juan Felipe Osorio.

“I am very fulfilled. These two medals represent a kick-off for my career as an athlete. We have only been training in the sport for eight months, our first international trip, everything is new for us. Everything has been very surprising and special”, declared the young athlete.

“I’m very happy, my first Parapan. We’ve only been in the sport for eight months, and being called up to the Brazilian team for an important competition like this. And the partnership with Filipe has been going on for a long time and helps a lot, they always support each other. This was very important for this achievement”, added Nathália.
