According to reports from the communities themselves, the damage to the road network prevents the entry of food, medicine and humanitarian aid to the towns of San Juan de Mantaro, Paquichari, José Olaya, Jesús de Belén, Río Negro and Libertad de Mazángaro, leaving families in a situation of vulnerability and abandonment.

The impossibility of vehicular traffic has also blocked the transfer of patients who require urgent medical attention. Faced with this emergency, transporters and neighborhood leaders made a desperate call to the authorities of the province of Satipo to send fuel and heavy machinery, such as tractors and dump trucks, in order to unblock the roads and enable evacuation routes.
Until now, the population is waiting for an official response that will allow communication to be restored with the affected areas and guarantee the entry of basic provisions.
