Close to Glory. In the first leg of the League 3 final, which was played at the Max Austin stadium in Iquitos, Sport Huancayo beat Estudiantentil CNI 2 to 1.
Rojo Matador came out with the alternate green uniform, with a good proposal from coach Pedro Garay with the 4-5-1 system – although he was expelled – he won the duel against Gustavo Roverano.
From the beginning, the match was even and balanced with clear chances for both teams, but then the Huancaino team began to arrive and defend better.
CNI attacked with two strikers Faber Asprilla and Pablo Labrin, but the defense with Diego Cienfuegos, Luis Torres and Fabricio Ramos contained very well.
At one point, Juan David Martines was the central defense headache with Patrick Reátegui and Ronald Ríos. In the final minutes, in great combination Juan David Martínez scores the Wanka goal with great class.
With the score against, CNI comes out with another mentality of coming back playing at home. But at 48 minutes outside the area, the top scorer of League 3, Juan David Martínez, scored an epic goal and the score 2-0 at the moment made the “Albo” team from Iquitos desperate.
Then, given the intensity of the match, CNI turns to the opposite field and the team captain, the left-handed Ronald Ríos, scores the injury time goal and ends the match with a 2-1 score in favor of Sport Huancayo.
The second leg of the final will be played on Saturday, November 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the IPD Huancayo stadium.
