The influencer Christian Villanueva Aguilar, known on social networks as Chris Vanger, was reported for alleged fraud and illicit appropriation after promoting an alleged investment program called “Vanger Haus“, in which dozens of people would have deposited their money, attracted by the promise of monthly returns of up to 10% without risk.
With more than 2 million followers, Chris Vanger would have harmed more than 160 people with a debt that would exceed one and a half million soles. The lawyer for those affected, Ericka Arévalo, indicated that a collective complaint for fraud and requested the Public Ministry to expedite the case.
According to the Sunday newspaper Cuarto Poder, one of the complainants reported that she invested S/6,500, trusting the influencer’s recommendations, however, in the last deliveries he did not comply.
Other affectedwho preferred to keep his identity confidential, claimed to have invested 12 thousand dollars, trusting in the tiktoker project. He stated that the payments were made during 2024, but then the delays and silence began. After several months of insistence, he only managed to recover 5 thousand dollars of the 12 thousand. “M.and affected emotionally, stress and financially by debts”he expressed.
Danielanother complainant, stated that he trusted the influencer because of his public exposure. Of the 30 thousand soles invested, he only recovered 5 thousand soles.
According to the testimonies, the 28-year-old man would have used social networkswhere he shared motivational messages, travel, acquisitions and even forays as a singer, to gain the trust of his followers.
The amounts of money involved vary between S/5 thousand, S/13, S/31 thousand and up to S/110 thousand, according to the reports of those affected.
Likewise, on the page of the S.B.S., the name of Vanger Haus is listed as one of the informal entities. In addition to this, Christian Villanueva’s immigration record reveals that he left the country on October 4 of this year to Colombia and has not recorded a return.
Until now, Chris Vanger, through his social network, has denied these accusations and affirmed that he has evidence to refute these testimonies.
