Man accused of extorting merchants from the Coche market died in a confrontation with the Cicpc

In an alleged confrontation with the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (cicpc), died Joel Antonio Colina, accused of belonging to gangs dedicated to extorting merchants from the Coche marketin Caracas.

Douglas Ricodirector of the police force, shared on Thursday of this week on his Instagram account some details of this event that occurred in Ocumare del Tuy, in the state of Miranda.

The official said that The man belonged to the dangerous criminal organizations of Yender La Vega and Dimas La Guaira. These criminal organizations keep the wholesale car market merchants whipped.

In addition, he assured that Colina was filing a request for intentional homicide.

Commissions from the Extortion Investigations Division managed to locate him in a hamlet in Ocumare del Tuy. The man, upon seeing the Cicpc officials, drew his weapon and began an exchange of shots in which he died..

In the police report, Rico assured that Colina was in charge of locating the market merchants, and informing them that by orders from Yender and Dimas, they had to pay 100 dollars for each truck that entered the market.otherwise they would attack their physical integrity or the units, in order to harm their economic assets and hinder free trade in different food items.

This case was left to the Public Ministry for the corresponding investigations.
