SANTO DOMINGO.- The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) carried out a vaccination day at its headquarters, in which more than 200 collaborators were immunized against tetanus, diphtheria and hepatitis Bas part of a plan to strengthen occupational health.
The initiative was aimed mainly at the immigration interdiction agentsdue to constant contact with citizens of multiple nationalitieswhich makes them a priority group for epidemiological surveillance.
The Colonel Belkis Asian Almonte, PNdirector of Human Resources, highlighted that immunization is a key prevention measure that guarantees well-being to the staff and contributes to maintaining the operational continuity of the institution.
The operation was coordinated by the DGM medical dispensaryheaded by Lieutenant Colonel Geneeve Chahede, ERDwho ensured a process agile, organized and with the corresponding biosafety protocols.
