Dina Boluarte’s vacancy has given the Congress of the Republic. According to the latest national survey by Ipsos for América Televisión, approval of Parliament rose to no less than 19%, which is the highest figure so far this year.
A study carried out last September by the same pollster revealed that citizen support for the management of Congress amounted to barely 5%, the lowest percentage since last January.
On that occasion, a disapproval of 89% was also recorded, the same rate that has dropped to 72% in this month of October.
In statements to Canal N, the executive director of Ipsos, Alfredo Torres, confirmed that the uptick in legislative approval has a direct relationship with the vacancy of Dina Boluarte.
Ipsos also monitored citizen opinion about the president of Congress, Fernando Rospigliosi; Its approval reaches 24% compared to 59% of respondents who disapprove, another 17% do not give an opinion.
In the disaggregated, however, the Fuerza Popular legislator achieves a support of 31% and his disapproval drops just one point, to 58%.
The study, it should be noted, was carried out nationwide among 1,208 people over 18 years of age on October 23 and 24.
