ARI Mobile | UCV School of Communication celebrates 79 years with screening of short films

The School of Social Communication of the Central University of Venezuela is the oldest in the country. Throughout its history, the school only stopped its activities when it was closed during the dictatorship of Marco Pérez Jiménez


The School of Social Communication of the Central University of Venezuela turns 79 years old. The ARI Mobile of the Rebel Alliance Investigates, in conjunction with the European Unionwas part of the celebration schedule with the screening of the finalists of the 4th edition of the short film contest: Short Scopio.

The screening was carried out within the university in the “no man’s land” gardens for students of both the School of Social Communication and those of other majors, professors and administrative staff, among others.

Thanks to the technical support of the Directorate of Culture, the screening began at 6:40 pm. Attendees were able to enjoy the screening of two of the three themes of the shorts: Impact Storiesa film strip that compiles 12 short films, and Waste and Circular Economy which compiles 14 short films.

Students from the Arts and Social Communication schools shared their enthusiasm for the screening of the short films.

“It seemed like an innovative experience within the university spaces. I feel that it is important that this type of customs adapt to the needs of the student,” expressed Caridad, a student at the Art school.

Authorities from the School of Social Communication also shared their gratitude to ARI Móvil for this initiative.

“The gift for the School of Social Communication with extremely necessary topics is extraordinary. I hope we can continue with this initiative. I am extremely grateful to ARI Movil and the Directorate of Culture for the opportunity to explore this initiative,” said Hilayalí ​​Valera, school director.

This week, the institution will carry out some commemorative activities. The director, Hilayalí ​​Valera, invited those interested to pay attention to the school’s social networks.
