Keiko Fujimori will announce her fourth presidential candidacy tomorrow

The congressman of Popular Force Ernesto Bustamante announced that this Thursday the names of those who will make up the presidential slate will be announced, as well as the lists for the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies who will apply in the elections. 2026 General Election.

Several parties have already presented their candidates for the primaries. Within this group, two political organizations presented disqualified candidates.

The parliamentarian assured that the leader of his party, Keiko Fujimori, will announce her presidential candidacy, the fourth since 2011.

“On Thursday we have a party in Trujillo. It is the launch of the president of the Fuerza Popular party as a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic and the presentation of the candidates for the Senate already [la Cámara de] Deputies”.

The legislator explained that the “strictly partisan” event will have a capacity of 5,000 people and will take place in Trujillo. In addition, he explained that the congressmen and those who will be candidates in next year’s elections will be present. Along these lines, he confirmed that he will be a candidate for senator.

When asked about the vice presidential candidates, Bustamante confirmed that “they have already been defined.” However, he assured that he cannot reveal their names.
