The symbol of savings and housing returns in a special edition that will awaken the nostalgia of thousands of Colombians.
News Colombia.
For decades, the name of Conavi It was synonymous with confidence, savings and home in Colombia. Its famous logo, represented by a little bee, accompanied thousands of families who dreamed of having their own home. Although it disappeared almost two decades ago after its integration with Bancolombia, the brand comes back to life in a gesture that combines nostalgia and innovation.
According to a Valora Analitik publication, Bancolombia decided to revive the iconic Conavi brand as part of the celebrations for its 150 years of history. This bet seeks to pay tribute to one of the entities most loved by Colombians, reconnecting with the values of savings and closeness that characterized it.
The initiative will include the launch of a limited edition debit card, a product that will once again carry the bee logo. This piece will be available to a specific group of customers and will be part of a special Christmas campaign, evoking the memories of those who were once part of the Conavi community.
“Motivated by this, senior executives at Bancolombia today officially presented the plan to revive the brand to its thousands of employees,” said Valora Analitik.
Conavi was born in Medellín in 1974, promoted by the union of companies such as Bancoquia, BIC, Corfinsura, Argos and Coltabaco. Under the direction of Alberto Gómez Ramírez, it became a solid institution, recognized for its close attention and focus on housing projects. In 2006, the corporation was absorbed by Bancolombia, marking the end of an era in national banking.
Today, almost twenty years later, Bancolombia pays tribute to that legacy and seeks to recover an emotional identity that still remains in the country’s collective memory. The reappearance of the little bee not only symbolizes the return of a brand, but also the reunion with an endearing part of Colombia’s financial history.
