After the police operation that left more than 100 people dead in the Alemão and Penha complexes on Tuesday (28), the airlines Latam, Gol and Azul announced that they will make the rescheduling of flights to Rio de Janeiro or with connections in the city more flexible.
Latam said it will allow the rescheduling of flights at Galeão and Santos Dumont airports, between October 28th and 30th. According to the company, passengers will be able to change their flight without fine and with a possible fare difference charge, within the validity of the air ticket. Passengers will also be able to request a refund according to the fare purchased.
For passengers with GOL flights, the company said it sent a notice to customers, with flights to/from Santos Dumont or Galeão, yesterday (28). In the statement, Gol offered the flexibility to reschedule flights free of charge until this Thursday (30.
Azul said that its operations in Rio de Janeiro are within normal limits, but it is making ticket rescheduling more flexiblesubject to seat availability, or the possibility of canceling the ticket, leaving the amount in credit.
THE police operation carried out against drug trafficking in the Penha and Alemão complexes, north of the city of Rio de Janeiro, left 121 people dead.
