Development School will begin operating in November
In the Session Room of the Municipality, the Development School was presented this Tuesday, a body that will operate within the orbit of the General Directorate of Social and Economic Development of the Municipality.
In the remainder of the year, it will be dedicated to training the human resources of the commune itself to expand to the rest of the population starting next year.
“106 days after assuming the Government in a Municipality that some perhaps did not realize had a deficit of 1,600 Million Pesos that never cared to know where the deficit was, I come to fulfill another promise that is nothing other than the one I told them that we were going to create a School of Entrepreneurs so that this department has entrepreneurs who have enough tools to be able to undertake and move forward” manifested Christian Morel.
Gervasio Rodríguez while he provided details of Desarrollo Cerro Largo, the local Development School. “This is an initiative that was born in the heart of the Directorate of Social and Economic Development, a Directorate with a deep vocation for service, where people are at the center of every decision” stood out.
“Perhaps in this Directorate the results cannot be measured with meters of work or by files answered, but with each person who is accompanied, with each story that we can carry forward and with each life that the State accompanies and listens to” said the person in charge of the Entrepreneurship, MSMEs and Employment Secretariat.
“We are convinced that development is achieved when we put people at the center, when we listen to them, understand them and be close” said.
NUCLEAR ALL PROPOSALS
“For many years, training, workshops and support have been generated in Cerro Largo by different institutions, but many times these efforts remain dispersed or each individual is dispersed throughout the ecosystem. This Development School comes to organize, nuclearize and group all those trainings, those resources that the State itself is already providing in other institutions.” Rodriguez explained.
THE BEGINNING IS AT HOME
“The first module with which we are going to start the activity is on labor well-being. We want to start from within. The idea of this school is to start by setting an example, that is why we are going to start with this labor well-being module that will be directed to our officials, especially in this first instance to the officials of the municipal canteens” he stated.
“The idea is that the workshops will then be open to everyone. In that sense we are talking with the institutions because some are specific for some audiences and people in particular. We are going to end this year 2025 with internal workshops to give that kick-start and make the wheel start turning, but the objective is to expand them in 2026 to the entire population” Gervasio Rodríguez insisted.
