What cars will not be able to circulate?

According to the official calendar this Wednesday they must stay at home:

-Vehicles with hologram 1 or 2.

-Cars with red stickers.

-Plates finished in 3 or 4.

If your car meets any of these characteristics, it is best to leave it parked to avoid fines and penalties.

On Wednesdays it applies to red gumming, finishing plates 3 and 4, with holograms 1 and 2.

Who can circulate?

They will be able to move freely:

-Vehicles with hologram 0 or 00.

-Electric or hybrid cars.

-Vehicles with hologram 1 or 2 that do not have red stickers or plates ending in 3 or 4.

Double Not Circulating Today?

This Wednesday there will be no double Hoy No Circula, since no environmental contingency has been activated in the Valley of Mexico. Therefore, the program operates with its normal rules.

Schedule and areas of application

The restriction is valid from 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and applies to the 16 municipalities of Mexico City and the following 18 municipalities of the State of Mexico:

-Atizapán de Zaragoza
-Coacalco
-Cuautitlán
-Cuautitlán Izcalli
-Chalco
-Chimalhuacan
-Chicoloapan
-Ecatepec
-Huixquilucan
-Ixtapaluca
-La Paz
-Naucalpan
-Nezahualcóyotl
-Nicolas Romero
-Tecámac
-Tlalnepantla
-Tultitlán
-Chalco Valley

In addition, from July 1, 2025, the measure also applies in Toluca and Santiago Tianguistenco from Monday to Saturday for cars with holograms 1 and 2. In these areas, fines will begin to be collected until January 1, 2026.

Fines for non-compliance

Driving on a restricted day can cost between 20 and 30 Measurement and Update Units (UMA), that is, from 2,262 to 3,394 pesos, depending on the authority that imposes the sanction.

Recommendations for motorists

-Check the official Hoy No Circula calendar before leaving.

-Check air quality reports.

-Stay alert to possible environmental contingencies, which could modify the restrictions.
