The executive president of Reserve Bank, Leonardo Aguilerareported this Tuesday that the credit portfolio of the institution in the northern region exceeds 135,415 million pesos, equivalent to 37.8% of the participation of the market in that demarcation.

He considered that the bank’s close relationship with the productive sectors and society is closely related to the priority that President Luis Abinader has given to the area, where the Government invests billions of pesos in a wide variety of projects to promote it as an essential link in the socioeconomic development of the country.
He said that the data from the Superintendency of Banks indicate that the northern region consolidates itself as the second region in the country with the highest volume of loans within the multiple banking system, reaching a total of 358,132.8 million of pesos.
He added that the trust placed by clients is due to a solid strategy of accompaniment to the different productive sectors, reflecting a marked economic dynamism of the area and the entire national geography.
Aguilera highlighted the commitment she has Banreservas with the development integral of the northern region through concrete actions of social responsibility that positively impact the environment, education, sports and culture.
