Opret clarifies video showing water leak in Metro Los Alcarrizos

The Office for Transport Reorganization (Opret) explained this Tuesday that the video that circulates on social networks, where the water leak is observed at the base of a pile of the Metro viaduct of Los Alcarrizos, corresponds to a minor situation that has already been corrected and does not represent any structural risk for the work.

As explained by the entity in a statement posted on its social networks, the water sprout came from a preventive tube of electrical conduit, designed to house the ground wire. This conduit was momentarily left without its plug, which allowed rainwater to enter and subsequently exit through the bottom of the pile.

The Opret specified that the responsible contractor immediately corrected the situation, in accordance with the technical protocols established for this type of infrastructure.
