The National Museum of Fine Arts celebrates the centenary of the prominent pedagogue and cartoonist Oscar Morriña with the exhibition The second house. Oscar Morriña. 100 yearsan exhibition that pays tribute to his legacy and his essential role in the history of the institution.
The exhibition, curated by Claudio Sotolongo, opens this Thursday, October 30 at 11:00 am in the Gallery of the Antonio Rodríguez Morey Information Center, in the Cuban Art Building. It covers key moments of the Fine Arts Salons between 1962 and 1970, in addition to including materials on the Didactic Room and The Exhibition of the Month.
The proposal also includes documents and the first copy of the series The lines talk and playan educational project by Morriña aimed at introducing children to the art of drawing. A tribute that celebrates his tireless work as a promoter, educator and visual creator.
