In 2022, Chevy The goal has been set to increase its participation in the Ultralight Trucks segment, which is currently close to 40%. To achieve this goal, it is developing a strategy based on expanding its product portfolio with the introduction of the truck NLR and the renewal of two successful models: NHR and NKR.

Near to 70% of customers The ones Chevrolet plans to reach with the NLR are individual customers who have a need to make quick deliveries and guarantee their buyers short waiting times. This is an obvious consequence of the growth of electronic purchases that has accelerated significantly due to the pandemic. The remaining 30% are transport companies or large truck fleets, as well as small and medium-sized companies.
The NLR is one of the vehicles that GM Colmotores is producing with Isuzu technology at its plant in Bogotá, as part of the objective of doubling production in 2022, that is, reaching more than 12,000 units.

Another feature to highlight of the NLR truck is its security, since it offers anti-theft protection through its central locking and the new Chevrolet Immobilizer, a system integrated into the vehicle’s computer, which only allows it to turn on if it identifies the sign of the original key. Added to this is active safety, focused on preventing accidents, and passive safety, on passenger protection; also the extended guarantee of two years without limit of mileage.
UPDATES ON NHR AND NKR
The NHR truck, one of the brand’s icons, is characterized by its size and economy. He had a simple rim modification at the rear, going from 16 to 17.5 inches, seeking greater stability and firmness.

These emblematic models of the N family are equipped with electric windows, a USB charging port, multiple storage spaces, and a cabin tilting alarm, among others. In the NHR model that has original factory air conditioning, a double airbag was incorporated to offer greater safety to both the driver and his passenger.
Trucks had an increase of 18% thickness in its chassis, going from 4.5 mm to 5.3 mm and reinforcements at strategic points, which offer flexibility to improve load distribution and stability, allowing easy bodywork for the implementation of different types of applications.

The NHR and the NKR were updated with anti-theft protection through the central lock and the NKR model included the Chevrolet immobilizer. Also, in some versions of this latest model, it increased its alternator capacity up to 90 amps.
