Escaped prisoner from Najayo prison accused of murder arrested

The National Police reported this Monday that, through the Central Capture Unit of Fugitives, Rebels and Condemned (Ucaprec), in coordination with the Public Ministrymanaged to capture a man who had escaped from the Najayo-Hombres Correction and Rehabilitation Center (CCR-20), in San Cristóbal, on September 15, 2025.

According to a press release, it is Arle Isaac Celado31 years old, whose arrest occurred on the afternoon of this Monday, October 27, on Duarte Street in the La Ureña sector, Santo Domingo Eastafter an intense surveillance and monitoring process deployed by investigation and operations agents of the Operational Department II of Ucaprec.

  • The Police do not specify whether Arle Isaac Celado was serving prison for a sentence or was serving a coercive measure.

Police personnel acted in coordination with the prosecutor Andris De Los Santosnational director of the Capture Unit of Fugitives, Rebels and Condemned.

The arrest was made following the search warrant No. 2025-AJ007125previously executed. The work continued uninterrupted until its capture was achieved at the aforementioned address.
