"I shot at his throat": the confession of the man who murdered a young woman in Barinas

José Balza, man accused of murdering Luzdery Adriana Peroza Soto25 years old, in the Obispos municipality of Barinas state, confessed to the crime in a video broadcast on social networks.

I killed her because she asked me for money and made fun of me (…) I killed her… look, I have blood… I shot it at her throat (…) It doesn’t matter, man, I’m already 55 years old,” the man is allegedly heard saying in a video.

The Public Ministry reported this weekend that Balza was deprived of liberty for the crime of aggravated femicide.

“Out of jealousy, he brutally attacked her with a knife, causing multiple wounds, causing her death instantly,” the agency detailed.

The homicide occurred on October 23, when the victim was leaving work. According to witnesses, the attacker attacked her with a knife and caused fatal injuries to her neck and torso.

Luzdery was a mother of five children and a student at the Ribas Mission. Her relatives assured local media that Balza was not her romantic partner, but a man who had harassed her and threatened to kill her for several months.
