Santo Domingo.- The Public Ministry requested the imposition of preventive detention against the urban artist Asly Mariel Victoriano Sánchez, known as Masha, and Jhakomo Hernández de la Rosaarrested last October 24, 2025 while traveling in a vehicle with two pounds of marijuana in it Villa Francisca sectorof the National District.
The measure was presented by the prosecutor Manuel Aquinoattached to Investigative Department of Drugs and Controlled Substances of the National District, who described the events as a violation of Law 50-88 on Drugs and Controlled Substances, in the category of drug traffic.
According to the file, the arrest occurred after a second lieutenant and a sergeant of the National Policewho carried out patrol work in the Licey street corner Parisyou will observe a traffic accident and intervene to provide assistance.
When inspecting the Honda CRV in which those involved were traveling, the agents found in the vehicle trunk two pounds of a vegetable substance wrapped in sealed transparent plastic covers with blackwhich was later sent to National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif).
The Inacif analysis confirmed that it was Cannabis sativa (marijuana)with a total weight two pounds. Both detainees were informed of their rights at the time of arrest.
He Public Ministry maintains that there are enough evidence that link to Masha and Hernández de la Rosa with the illicit activityso he asked the court for imposition of preventive detention as a measure of coercion.
