The Vice Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tatiana Pugh Moreno, held a bilateral meeting with the Vice Minister of Consular, Parliamentary and Iranian Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Vahid Jalalzadeh, within the framework of the Signing Ceremony of the United Nations Convention on Cybercrime, held in Hanoi, capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
During the meeting, the Venezuelan representative highlighted that bilateral relations with Iran have reached their highest level, politically and in cooperation, which covers multiple areas, especially highlighting the scientific and technological sphere, says a press release from Mppre.
He denounced the threat that the military deployment of the United States (US) in the Caribbean and the constant psychological warfare actions undertaken by Donald Trump’s government represent for Venezuela and the entire region.
Likewise, he highlighted that his country always advocates for peace, but is prepared for any circumstance that warrants the defense of national sovereignty.
Vice Minister Jalalzadeh reaffirmed Iran’s support and brotherhood towards Venezuela, accused President Trump of assuming dictatorial positions and thanked the support provided by the Bolivarian Government in international forums and settings.
Both authorities stressed the need to reinforce ideological solidarity and resistance against a common enemy: the American empire, while ratifying their position of defense of the Palestinian cause and promoting diplomatic solutions to global challenges, especially in an environment marked by geopolitical tensions and global challenges.
The meeting contributed to strengthening the ties of friendship that unite both peoples and governments, and to proposing solutions to common challenges.
