The corpse of the second man missing in the Holguín municipality of Sagua de Tánamo was found this Sunday, according to official sources.
After several days of searching, coinciding with the preparations for the imminent arrival in Cuba of the Hurricane Melissathe deceased was found “by the river in the Aflijes area, Popular Council of Marieta,” according to a information shared on their networks by the Radio Ecos de Sagua station.
According to the journalist Via Lisbet Ramos Columbié, specialized forces from Holguín and volunteers from the Red Cross participated in the rescue and transfer of the lifeless body of Antonio Angulo Caballero, 74 years old.
The man, who lived in the El Jobo Popular Council, had been missing since last October 22. He had been seen for the last time when he went out to work on his farm, in the town of Miguel, and when he did not return, his relatives notified the authorities.
His search coincided with that of Luis Pérez Rodríguez, 64 years old, who also disappeared last week and whose body was found on saturday in the area of the mouth of the Sagua River.
Although the official notes have not elaborated on the cause of their deaths, previous reports and publications on the networks suggest that they presumably died as a result of the flooding of rivers due to intense rains that occurred in the area.
