The women’s soccer team Mexico needed just 7 minutes, from the 11th to the 18th, to defeat 2-0 against New Zealand in a preparation match for the qualifiers of the 2027 World Cup. The pupils of Spanish Pedro López left everything resolved before the first 20 minutes with goals from Diana Ordóñez and María Sánchez. Ordóñez’s goal came from an assist from Sánchez.
La Tri today rounded out the dominance that it had already hinted at on Friday by beating the same rival 1-0. The visitors reacted after the second blow and were about to come back with a shot from Kelli Brown that returned to the crossbar. But there were no more signs of rebellion on the part of Michael Mayne’s pupils.
