This October 25 march toured the Center of Lima in tribute to Eduardo Ruiz
Hundreds of young people from the Generation Z collective and citizens marched this Saturday, October 25, from Plaza Francia to the Palace of Justice, in a peaceful mobilization that paid tribute to Eduardo Ruiz Sanz, the young man who died during protests against the Government. Protesters carried banners, flags and portraits of the rapper and other victims of police repression, demanding justice and an end to police repression.
During the tour, the column of protesters passed through central avenues such as Arequipa and Nicolás de Piérola, and held sit-ins in front of television channels. Symbolic acts were also carried out, such as candle lighting and minutes of silence.
At the end of the day, the group reaffirmed its commitment to continue with the mobilizations and announced the call for a new national strike for next November 14. According to Generation Z, this will be a decentralized protest in all regions of the country and will seek to bring together unions, universities and social organizations to keep the demand for justice and political change alive.
