The complaint from a citizen who was looking for his friend allowed the Police to dismantle the alleged criminal gang “Las Peperas y los Carderos del Centro”, apparently dedicated to kidnapping and doping their victims to steal money from them.
The troops arrived at the property located between Av. Huancavelica and jr. Tarapacá, after the complainant reported that his friend had sent him his location in real time before losing communication. At the scene, the police found two unconscious men on the second floor guarded by two subjects who prevented them from leaving.
The victims, JLC (24) and RAQ (21), were taken to the Daniel A. Carrión hospital, where they were diagnosed with poisoning by an unknown substance. According to what they said, they went to the property after being invited to drink for an alleged “puller” which offered them fun and company. During the search of the property, police personnel seized three point-of-sale terminals (Baxi Box), twelve Visa cards, numerous bank vouchers and the victims’ telephone numbers.
It was proven that transfers for more than 25 thousand soles were made from the accounts of the injured parties, while 16 thousand soles in cash were found in the possession of the detainees.
Those intervened were identified as Marlo Hinostroza (33), Nereyda Antonio (35), Jim Vargas (38), Cristina Inga (33) and Andrea Castro (18). All were placed at the disposal of the Criminal Investigation Division (Divincri) as detainees.
