It should be noted that the United States War Department reported that the Gerald R. Ford Aircraft Carrier Strike Group will join the Southern Command operations in the Caribbean with the excuse of combating drug trafficking. It should be remembered that since the end of August the US has carried out operations attacking boats in which, according to statements by their spokesmen, they carry drug shipments, murdering more than 30 people.
These actions have been condemned by several governments in the region, especially Venezuela and Colombia, who have been affected by the Trump administration’s threats.
