This Friday (24), the State Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP) arrested a 38-year-old man suspected of involvement in the death of former delegate general Ruy Ferraz.
The suspect was arrested in Jardim Shangrilá, in the south of São Paulo. According to the police, the man was identified as the owner of a second house in Praia Grande used by criminals during the preparation of the plan that culminated in Ferraz’s death.
Ruy Ferraz was killed on September 15, in Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo, where he worked. He left work in his car and was chased through the city streets by another vehicle with heavily armed men. At high speed, the former police officer crashed into a bus and was subsequently shot with a rifle. The entire action was recorded by surveillance cameras.
Delegate for more than 40 years, Ruy Ferraz was responsible for the arrest of several leaders of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) in the 2000s. The police are investigating whether the criminal faction is involved in the case.
The former delegate worked in the city of Praia Grande, as Secretary of Administration at the local city hall.
