Marina Dias from São Paulo said goodbye to the 2025 season with another podium finish in paraclimbing. In the final, held a few hours after the heat, the Brazilian achieved 51 holds from the wall, ahead of Germany’s Laura Nesciobelli (45 holds) and Britain’s Charlotte Andrew (42) – silver and bronze, respectively. The Laval stage ends this Sunday (26), with Eduardo Schaus from Paraná in the final of the AU2 class (amputee athletes or those with reduced upper limb function). The race starts at 10am (Brasília time), broadcast live on the International Sports Climbing Federation (IFSC) YouTube channel.

Silver at the World Cup in Seoul, South Korea, he is looking for his first podium in a World Cup. The Brazilian was second best in the qualifier in the category, one of which will be held in Los Angeles.

In addition to Marina and Eduardo, two other athletes represented Brazil in this Saturday’s qualifiers, but did not make it to the finals – which brings together the four best placed. In the AU3 class (one hand or several fingers missing on both hands or reduced function), Leonardo Vilha from Paraná came in sixth place.

Luciano Frazão, from the Federal District, was 15th in class AL2 (amputation of a leg or lower limb deficiency, without functional ankle joint). The category is another one that will compete for medals at the 2028 Games.
