The Association for the Promotion of National Infrastructure (AFIN) warned that the Padomi-Delivery service, responsible for the delivery of medicines to older adults and people with reduced mobility, could be suspended from October 31 due to non-payment by EsSalud to the logistics operator Salog.
According to the union, this situation would affect more than 50,000 insured people from Metropolitan Lima and Callao who depend on the program to receive their medications at home.

If the suspension were to take place, the patients of the program in 56 districts of Lima and Callao would have to travel to the Arenales Hospital Complex to collect their medicines, which would imply greater difficulties and health risks for those who require continuous treatments.

Through a statement, the Social Health Insurance (EsSalud) assured that the program’s home medication delivery service Padomi will continue to operate normally.
