The long-awaited Night of Museums arrives in 2025 with a renewed and broader proposal than ever. The event, organized by the Ministry of Culture, seeks for citizens to live a unique experience by visiting museums, galleries and cultural centers during extended hours and with free entry. From 6 p.m. until after midnight, public and private spaces will open their doors to receive thousands of visitors interested in discovering the artistic, historical and scientific heritage of the country.
Museum Night 2025
The growth of Night Museums 2025 reflects a strong commitment to the decentralization of art and culture. This year, the event will reach 125 communes and will have the participation of 280 institutions, 25% more than in the previous edition. In total, more than 500 free activities will be held throughout the national territory, including workshops, talks, concerts, exhibitions and night tours.
- Thematic tours in the main museums of Santiago, Valparaíso and Concepción.
- Art and conservation workshops aimed at children and adolescents.
- Open-air national cinema samples.
- Guided tours by specialists who will reveal the secrets behind the most emblematic works.
- Free concerts and contemporary dance shows in open spaces.
These proposals make the Night of Museums a perfect opportunity to rediscover the local culture and share a different moment with your family.
In addition to the variety of activities, the Night of Museums 2025 has a special transportation system to facilitate access to the different cultural points. Through the event’s digital billboard, visitors can consult routes, schedules and interactive maps to plan their tour. This service seeks to encourage participation throughout the country and ensure that no one is left out of the experience.
This cultural day also has a strong educational component. Many museums will offer talks on heritage conservation, contemporary art, regional history and science, guided by experts in each subject. In addition, there will be inclusive and accessible activities for people with visual or hearing disabilities. With proposals designed for all ages, the Night of Museums 2025 reaffirms its objective of democratizing culture and promoting interest in knowledge through close and free experiences.
