“Justice, justice”, repeated a group of people, including family, friends and activists, who this Friday, with signs against violence against women, marched in the center of the city of Potosí and went to the facilities of the Departmental Prosecutor’s Office. For the most part, they demanded prison for the main author of the murder of Pamela Rocha, a 29-year-old woman who died last Monday.

“I ask for justice for my daughter who was murdered. I don’t know what kind of mother she is to have covered up her son, who committed this murder, “Rocha’s mother, who was allegedly murdered by her 46-year-old husband, lamented with tears in her eyes.

“We ask for justice for my sister. It cannot be that this lady has only been given preventive detention for a month, that she is an accomplice. She knew about the murder and helped him escape, she knows where her son is, but they tell us that they cannot force her to say where her son is hidden, “reproached the victim’s sister, referring to the mother of the accused.

In the precautionary measures hearing that took place yesterday afternoon, the Potosí Criminal Enforcement Court ordered preventive detention for a period of one month in the Cantumarca prison for Wilma M., mother of Oswil JF, who allegedly committed the femicide and is currently a fugitive, reported Radio Fides.

This is the first case of femicide in Potosí so far this year.
