The Coffee Museum, in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, turns 24 this Saturday (12). The date is being commemorated with an intervention by São Paulo artist Flávia Junqueira at the Salão do Pregão, in the palace of the former Bolsa Oficial de Café, where the museum is currently located. The public will be able to visit the installation today and tomorrow (13), from 10 am to 6 pm. Entry is free.
The artist and photographer’s installation is based on iconic works, whose protagonist is the party balloon. In her compositions, Flávia Junqueira builds playful scenarios in historical patrimonies and national tourist attractions, and records them photographically.
At the Coffee Museum, Flávia created a setting for interaction and photo shoots. In the Salão do Pregão, the staging will take place. The artist’s objective is to offer an immersive moment, with the possibility for the visitor to “enter” one of her photographs.
The installation will have free and open access, as well as the other exhibition areas of the museum, as long as people present proof of covid-19 vaccination (digital or physical) at the entrance.
