The magistrates granted him the precautionary measure due to substantive defects in the process. However, the ruling does not mean that he will be released since he faces other charges. In April of this year, the Federal Social Rehabilitation Center number 18 of Coahuila was transferred after spending 10 years in the Altiplano prison, in Almoloya de Juárez.
The first collegiate court in criminal matters of the state of Mexico ratified the sentence of Everardo Maya Arias, third district judge in matters of amparo and federal trials, in Toluca, who in July of last year granted the protection of federal justice to Abarca Velázquez so that it is analyzed again whether it is appropriate to modify the preventive detention for conditional release since, according to his lawyer, he suffers from serious and chronic-degenerative diseases that They put their lives in danger due to prison conditions.
