The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that the military exercises that are currently being carried out in different regions of the country, “will continue for 72 more hours to continue oiling the machinery, the machinery for peace,” he expressed.
Maduro explained that, according to the reports that have reached him, “the deployment” of troops to preserve the right to peace has been a total success.
The president reiterated that Venezuela “does not belong to the gringos,” while ensuring that today, “there is a patriotic fervor and effort to defend this land.”
“Coastal defensive deployment”
Likewise, he stated that the deployment, of a defensive nature, was carried out immediately in response to the constant “imperialist threats.” The President highlighted the deployment of the Armed Forces, the Militia and the police forces on the country’s coasts, ensuring that Venezuela is ready to guarantee its peace and sovereignty.
“Today there were some exercises… at 12 at night and I called whoever I had to call and gave them an order, activate all the forces, all the military equipment immediately to defend the action points on the entire Venezuelan coast, from Zulia to the state of Sucre,” he said.
He added that the security forces deployed top-level equipment, including anti-aircraft weapons, in 73 central points of the country. Each of these points, in turn, deployed forces to 10 subsequent points.
Covered 100% of all coasts of the country
Maduro affirmed that, to date, all the coasts of the national territory have been 100 percent covered.
“At 3 in the morning, and at 9 in the morning they gave me the report: 100% of all the country’s coasts were covered in real time, with all the equipment and heavy weapons to defend all the coasts of Venezuela if necessary,” he explained.
Maduro stressed that this success is possible thanks to the military equipment acquired through the sovereignty policy, which allows, in his opinion, to remember that all this heavy weaponry “was bought by President Chávez.”
“(…) thanks to President Putin, thanks to China and thanks to many friends in the world. Venezuela has the equipment to guarantee peace.”
The President reiterated the complaint that the country has faced 10 weeks of “imperialist threats of psychological warfare,” stating that the response is a patriotic fervor that “we have never seen in Venezuela, perhaps since the time of Cipriano Castro, to defend what is ours.”
This Thursday, Maduro held a meeting with the so-called patriotic working class, where he swore in the promoting commission for the worker constituent.
Imperial censorship
During the activity, Maduro denounced the censorship imposed by imperial digital platforms: “YouTube has censored me, but our hearts and our minds reach the people without the need for those imperial platforms,” he said, reiterating that the revolutionary message is transmitted through its own channels, without intermediaries or technological conditions imposed from abroad.
“Idiots, I told the people of YouTube and idiots they stayed. YouTube, the end will come to you, because those who mess with Venezuela, dry up. Lords and owners of imperialism, it doesn’t matter if they censor us; we open doors with our own efforts, because we don’t depend on them at all. We depend only on our forces,” said President Maduro.
He highlighted the current political context, marked by communication pressures and constant threats. “This transcendental step that we are going to take occurs at a special moment in Venezuela, where we are threatened daily by words by the American empire, daily a psychological war, words there, words here, that move a ship, that move a missile.”
In this way, he highlighted the institutional response to these attacks, based on discipline, cohesion and national unity. “We here, nerves of steel, calm and sanity and maximum popular military-police fusion, that the team wins and we will continue to win peace,” he said, in addition to reaffirming the State’s commitment to the defense of sovereignty and national stability.
Finally, President Maduro called on all workers to combat the communication war that the empire maintains through digital platforms. “We are going to victory forever. There is a lot we can do; all workers can publish, make noise on the networks to combat the psychological and communicational war of the empire.”
